Summer School

Olentangy Summer School is a summer school program available to students entering grades 9-12. The program will be held June 3 - July 10, 2026. Classes will be virtual and asynchronous.

2026 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Summer School registration will be available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal beginning March 1, 2026 and will be open for registering through May 27 at midnight. 

• PowerSchool is the only way to register for summer school.  
• Counselors CANNOT register for students. Only parents/guardians can register.
• The portal will be open for registration March 1 – May 27.

Enroll for Credit Recovery (primary purpose): Olentangy Summer School is intended for students who need to recover credit in a core or graduation-required course. Students who have earned or are projected to earn a D or F in a current class may enroll to meet graduation requirements. 

Enroll for Academic Advancement (limited use): With the exception of Physical Education and Health, summer courses are not recommended for acceleration. Courses move at a fast pace and may result in gaps in learning that can impact success in future coursework. Students considering advancement should consult with their school counselor prior to enrollment.

• All courses are virtual and asynchronous. 
• Cost is $230.00 per course
• Classes Begin: June 3
  • Schoology course format is determined by the instructor
  • SchoolsPLP courses will provide access through a pre-recorded orientation and emailed login information by end of day on June 2
• Grades are recorded on the student's official Olentangy transcript

Please speak with your counselor before enrolling. Moving to a higher-level course after taking a lower-level course—designed primarily for credit recovery—can be very difficult.

If you are planning to travel or participate in a summer camp during June and July, please take that into consideration when registering for summer school. Classes are online and self‑paced, but highly rigorous, condensing semester‑ or year‑long content into six weeks.

COURSES OFFERED

• SchoolsPLP Courses: Algebra I, Geometry, Intro to Algebra II, Algebra II, Algebra III, Pre-Calculus, Economics, Earth and Space, World History, U.S. Government, and U.S. History. 
• Schoology Courses: Schoology Courses offered are College Prep English 9, 10, 11 and 12; Personal Finance, Physical Education I & II and Health.
