Credit: 1/2 (Applied Arts Credit)
Grades: 10, 11, 12
Elective Course
Prerequisite: Engineering I
Fee: Yes
Engineering & Design II expands on the skills from Engineering & Design I by challenging students with advanced design projects that require deeper technical understanding, precision, and collaboration. Students take on more complex problems in areas such as CAD modeling, robotics, automation, product design, structures, transportation, environmental impacts, or manufacturing. Students progress from introductory-level tools to more advanced equipment, software, and fabrication methods. Emphasis is placed on testing, redesign, documentation, and producing functional, working prototypes. Engineering teams may also prepare projects suitable for competitions or industry style presentations. This is an excellent elective for any student with an interest in STEM fields.
