Class of 2024 DC Trip 2020
NOTE: Due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus, OOMS is waiting on district communication and guidance regarding this trip. Please look for communication in your email inbox, and this story will be updated when we know more.
Historical information/communication is available below.
The OOMS 8th Grade Washington D.C. Trip is coming May 11-15, 2020. Students will depart early Monday and return Friday night.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
There will be a Washington DC Parent Meeting on April 7 at 7:00 pm for all parents of current 8th Grade students who are attending the Washington DC Trip May 11-15, 2020. The meeting will be held in the OOMS Cafe. Information about what to pack, luggage drop-off, and other pertinent information will be shared.
At the parent meeting on September 10, 2019, the following documents were released and discussed:
- Orange Trip Itinerary (note this is a draft, as accurate as possible as of 9/10/19 - details will change)
- Essential Communication for Parents - includes important dates, some details
- Parent Payment Letter
- Information from the clinic and nurse: As far as medication is concerned, parents only need to turn in medication if the student is NOT self carrying. If the student is self carrying then we do not need to see the medication at all, even if it is prescription. The doctor just needs to note self-carry on the physician form. The student will carry it on them and administer it themselves when needed.
Please note that these documents were mailed directly to 8th grade families who were unable to attend the meeting.
To get the code for registering on the payment site, please see Mrs. Rambo in the main office. The code was also supplied to 8th grade families at the meeting or in the mail.
Take the time to review all information and set calendar reminders for your family for deadlines on payments and medications. These dates will also be reflected on our school website calendar.
