Friday, September 27 was our annual Heritage Walk-A-Thon! The students walked, ran, and sometimes cart-wheeled, their way to raising $33,292.37! Thank you to our community sponsors, students, and families for working so hard to raise money for Heritage programs such as the upcoming COSI on wheels, class field trips, and much, much more.
A special focus for the WAT funds this year is our library. The students raised enough money to purchase new tables and chairs! Mrs. Hemminger promised the students if they met their fundraising goal, she would let them slime her. The top three earners got the special task on Friday of doing just that!
Stay tuned for more ways your WAT fund are being used around Heritage! This year, teachers and staff were given the opportunity to submit requests for PTO-funded grants to benefit individual classrooms as well as the entire school. The PTO and Mrs. Wilson are working to fund as many requests as possible. We'll share those updates with you in the coming months.
Thank you again to our Heritage Community for an amazing Walk-A-thon!
