District Makes the Grade in List of Best High Schools

The U.S. News & World Report has released its annual ranking of the nation's best high schools and Olentangy Local Schools is the only multi-high school district in Ohio to have all of its high schools ranked in the top 25 (except for Olentangy Berlin High School, which is too new to have data for the publication's list).

Olentangy Liberty High School earned the state's 10th highest ranking among Ohio's more than 750 high schools. Olentangy Orange High School was the 16th best, and Olentangy High School earned the 21st best ranking in the state.

The district's high schools each ranked within the top 10 among central Ohio schools, with Olentangy Liberty High School ranked 2nd, Olentangy Orange High School ranked 5th, and Olentangy High School ranked 7th.

The schools also received strong rankings nationally. Of the more than 23,000 high schools reviewed nationwide, Olentangy Liberty High School ranked 337, Olentangy Orange High School ranked 422, and Olentangy High School ranked 524th.

The rankings are based on a combination of six weighted factors, including college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.
