MINOR WORK PERMIT
Work permit applications are processed at the student's high school of record and not the Olentangy Administrative Office.
Application for Minor Work Permit
All three portions of the "Application For Minor Work Permit" must be completed.
- Student/Applicant Information - completed and signed by a parent or guardian.
- Pledge of Employer - completed in full including the employer's Tax ID number and signed by employer.

- “Physician’s Certificate For Minor Work Permit” must also be completed or if the student is an athlete we can use their current athletic physical if it has not expired.
Also note - The school actually enters the information from the Application into the State Department of Commerce website. This then generates the actual work permit. The student must be present to sign the work permit upon issuing.

Residency Affidavit:
NEW: Residency affidavits are valid for one school year. Updated residency affidavit documents must be submitted to the New Student Welcome Center each year by August 1st.
If you are living with an Olentangy resident who is renting/leasing, you must submit a valid lease where you/your family (parent/guardian and student) are listed as occupants.
Intradistrict Transfer (IDT) Application:
Elementary School IDT Request Form
The deadline for elementary Intradistrict Transfer (IDT) applications is March 27, 2026. Please complete the form in its entirety to apply for consideration for an intradistrict transfer.
The Intradistrict Transfer (IDT) application period for middle and high school is now closed. The deadline was February 13, 2026. If you would like to request a late submission, please email the New Student Welcome Center at nswc@olsd.us. Application links will be sent to those on the waitlist March 2, April 1, May 1, and June 1. No intradistrict transfer requests will be accepted after June 10, 2026, for the 2026–27 school year.
Decisions for late submissions will be emailed in late June.
Please Note:
- If approved, parents and/or guardians are responsible for transporting the student to and from the new school of choice.
- Decisions at the middle and high school levels are valid for the duration of a student’s school career at that building, absent any future redistricting. Please note that participation in athletics will be impacted at the high school level after an approved transfer.
- Decisions at the elementary school level are valid for one year. A new form must be filled out each year at this level.

Parking permits are now purchased online through PowerSchool where school fees are paid. Once paid online, the student will need to bring in the receipt and their driver's license to their high school's main office to have their parking permit issued. If you have questions please contact your high school's main office.
