The Communications Department is responsible for district communications, public/media relations, public information and marketing. We promote Olentangy Schools, its students and staff. We celebrate and share their outstanding programs, activities and accomplishments with our community.
We produce and distribute news releases to print, television and digital media. We respond to media inquiries and work with the media to disseminate emergency notifications. We are responsible for managing the content and design of the district website and social media sites. We encourage parents and the public to engage with us and welcome your comments, suggestions and ideas for providing information to our students, staff and community.
Public Records Requests
The Communications Department also assists the District Treasurer, who under Ohio law is the custodian of public records, with public record requests. All requests for public records should be sent to both District Treasurer Emily Hatfield (emily_hatfield @olsd.us) and District Public Information Coordinator Devon Immelt (firstname.lastname@example.org)
