Pupil Services Supervisor

The Pupil Services Department is committed to meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities by offering a continuum of services as outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA) Olentangy believes that every child can learn, and we offer a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to all children ages 3 through 21 with disabilities living within the district's boundaries. In accordance with Child Find regulations, Olentangy maintains an ongoing effort to identify, locate, and evaluate children with disabilities in the district who are in need of special education and/or related services. If you suspect your child may have a disability, please contact your child’s teacher, principal, or the Pupil Services office at 740-657-4070.

Pupil Services Supervisors oversee each school, and are available to provide specialized information and guidance regarding assessment, specially designed instruction, related services support, or any other questions or concerns regarding a child’s educational placement.

Parent Mentors provide support, free of charge, to parents in an effort to help them understand the Special Education Process. The district implements this statewide program to encourage a collaborative relationship between school and home. A Parent Mentor is a district employee and also the parent of a child with a disability.
