2024 Parent Communications Survey

Olentangy Schools conducted the district's first communication survey September 5 through September 27 to gain insight into the communication preferences of parents and guardians, as well as identify opportunities to enhance communication practices at the district, school, and classroom levels.

Response Rate:

• 2,300 survey responses
• Feedback represented from 100% of schools
• 35% of responses from high school families

The survey provided valuable insight into the communication preferences of parents and guardians across our Olentangy Schools. Based on your collective responses, we have identified opportunities where we can enhance communication practices at the district, school, and classroom levels. 

Over the 20245-25 school year, the Communications Department will be:

• Auditing standard and emergency response protocols; 
• Reviewing existing and potential communications tools and platforms; 
• Developing District-guided, communications-focused professional development resources for all staff; and  
• Establishing a new Communications Department strategic plan.
