The Business Management and Facilities Department is responsible for all aspects of the district’s business, operational and facility needs.  Mr. Jeff Gordon, Chief Operations Officer, leads the department.

The Business and Facilities Office is a team of individuals responsible for the day-to-day needs of the district’s buildings, grounds and infrastructure.  The office coordinates a variety of essential tasks including the construction of new buildings, capital improvements and renovations at its existing buildings and the procurement of new properties for the district.  Additionally, the Business Office secures needed equipment, supplies and services to support the district’s everyday operational needs.

The Building and Grounds Maintenance Office is a team of individuals responsible for the maintenance and repair of all district buildings, facilities and grounds.  Services include mowing and snow removal of all district roadways and properties, as well as needed services and repairs within the district’s buildings and athletic facilities. This team is also integral in the distribution process for equipment and supplies used throughout the district.

The Custodial Services Office is a team of individuals responsible for daily cleaning and general building support within each of the district’s educational and office facilities.

The Energy Initiative/Conservation Office tracks and monitors monthly energy usage at all district buildings and facilities. Using the data tracked, this office regularly implements new equipment, procedures and systems with the intent to minimize energy usage throughout the district, while at the same time maximizing cost savings for the district.  Mr. Daniel Berend supervises this initiative for the district.


 

FACILITY USE SERVICES 

The Business Management and Facilities Department coordinates, as a community service, the rental use of select district facilities to residents of the Olentangy School District, community groups and local organizations per the Ohio Revised Code. To request facility use, review the Rental Program Guidelines or the Olentangy Rental Fee Structure, view the Facility Use Application below.

The Business Management and Facilities Department also collaborates with the following BOard of EDUCATION committee: 

Facilities Committee

The Facilities Committee, a Board of Education committee,  generally meets on the first Wednesday of every month to discuss district enrollment projections, capital improvement projects, district land acquisition and new facility needs.  The committee often is involved in the review of design and construction details for new construction projects within the district.
