The USDA has extended waivers that allow Olentangy Schools to offer meals at no charge to families.
Effective Tuesday, September 8, 2020, all students enrolled in Olentangy Schools will be able to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch on each school day. This includes students in the Hybrid Attendance Model, whether learning at school or at home, and all Committed Distance Learning students.
This opportunity is temporary, as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended waivers that allow Olentangy Schools to offer meals at no charge to families. It is not known how long these temporary waivers will be available, but we will communicate in advance when free meals for all students will be discontinued.
Hybrid Attendance Model
Students learning from home must pre-order meals, which will be distributed at the end of the school day to take home for the following day(s).
Students attending school in person do not need to pre-order their free breakfast or lunch.
Committed Distance Learning
Students enrolled in Olentangy’s Committed Distance Learning model must pre-order meals. Please use the Committed Distance Learning September Pre-Order Meal Form.
All pre-order meals must be submitted by Wednesday at 8:00am, to be picked up the following Monday. Meal distribution time and location(s) will be communicated directly to families. Please submit a separate form for each student.
All breakfast and lunch menus can be found on the Olentangy Schools Food Service website. We look forward to seeing students at meal pick-ups and in our cafeterias!
