Olentangy Schools is one of twelve districts in the state of Ohio to earn 5-stars in all categories.
The Ohio Department of Education has released school district report cards, awarding Olentangy Schools the top rating of five stars across all categories of measurement.
The Ohio School Report Cards include performance information provided by schools and districts including academic, financial, and opportunity to learn data. The five-star ratings that Olentangy received indicate that the district significantly exceeds state standards in academic achievement, in early literacy standards, in student growth expectations by a large magnitude, in closing educational gaps, and in graduation rates.
“In reviewing the performance index of the district, we are proud that Olentangy is the fourth largest district in the state and continues to perform at an exceedingly high academic level, ranking in the top 6% of Ohio school districts,” shared Director of Data and Continuous Improvement Jeanette Kenney.
“We are pleased that the state report card reflects Olentangy’s commitment to academic excellence,” stated Dr. Jack Fette, Chief Academic Officer for Olentangy Schools. “The state report card is just one measurement of the Olentangy learning experience, and we plan to continue to meet the needs of our students outside of tested areas.”
Olentangy also received a five-star rating for gifted progress, which measures academic growth for students identified as gifted. The Ohio School Report Cards and information on Olentangy Schools can be found on the Ohio Department of Education website.
