Olentangy Schools
The state of Ohio has released school district report cards, awarding Olentangy Schools an overall top rating of five stars.
The Ohio School Report Card overall five-star rating indicated that Olentangy Schools significantly exceeds state standards in academic achievement, in early literacy standards, in student growth expectations by a large magnitude, in closing educational gaps, and in graduation rates.
“The continued recognition of Olentangy’s commitment to educational excellence affirms our staff’s efforts to facilitate maximum learning for every student,” stated Olentangy Schools Superintendent Todd Meyer. “The state report card is one measurement of the Olentangy learning experience, and we are proud of the opportunities and supports we deliver to our students.”
The 2023 Ohio State Report Card measured the performance of 607 school districts. Olentangy Schools is one of 75 school districts in the state to receive a five-star overall rating, and one of six in central Ohio.
Olentangy’s five-star rating is comprised of five components. Olentangy received five stars in the components of achievement, early literacy, graduation, and gap closing; the District received four stars in the student progress component.
“A four-star rating on the Progress component means there is significant evidence that Olentangy is exceeding the student growth expectations,” shared Director of Data and Continuous Improvement Jeanette Kenney. “Olentangy students have historically met and exceeded state benchmarks, which impacts our ability to continually demonstrate progress year over year in the measured areas.”
Superintendent Meyer added, “One of our district values is that we can always get better, and we continue to find ways to enhance the learning experience for the benefit of our students.”
