Schools can earn the Honor Roll recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing their school’s college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness. The AP School Honor Roll offers four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

Olentangy Schools offers 26 AP courses. During the 2023-24 school year, 56.4% of high school juniors and seniors across the district enrolled in an AP course, and 85.8% of students enrolled in an AP class scored three or higher on an AP exam.

The College Board's Advanced Placement Program allows students to engage in college-level coursework while still in high school, offering the chance to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both. Through AP courses, students build essential skills in critical thinking, strong argumentation, and the ability to view issues from multiple perspectives—skills that prepare them for success in college and beyond.
