The Olentangy Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce Timothy Ryan Jenkins as the new Treasurer of Olentangy Schools.

Mr. Jenkins comes to Olentangy from the Pickerington Local School District, where he has served as Treasurer since 2013. He has also held Treasurer roles at two other Ohio school districts - Greenon Local School District and Graham Local School District. Prior to moving into district finance, Mr. Jenkins was a middle school principal and a high school assistant principal at Northwestern Local Schools, the Dean of Students at Thomas Worthington High School, and a high school math teacher in Worthington and Federal Hocking Local Schools. Mr. Jenkins holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University.

"I am humbled and honored to be chosen as the next Treasurer for Olentangy Schools,” stated Mr. Jenkins. “During my tenure in public education, I have worked with the educators, administrators, school staff members and residents of other Ohio communities to help provide students with a high-quality educational experience. I look forward to continuing that work in the Olentangy school district and know that I will be 'shoulder to shoulder' with equally dedicated members of the One Olentangy community who envisage the same."

“The Board of Education met with Ryan earlier this month and were very impressed with the caliber of his resume, his background in education and finance, and his passion for public education,” shared Board President Kevin O’Brien.

Mr. Jenkins will fill the Treasurer role that Emily Hatfield has held since 2017. Mrs. Hatfield announced her resignation at the August 25 board meeting, having accepted a position with Otterbein University.

The Board voted to approve Ryan's employment with the District at the September 22 board meeting. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Jenkins to Olentangy Schools.
