Mr. Meyer will begin as Superintendent on June 1, 2023.

The Olentangy Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to hire Todd R. Meyer as the new Superintendent of Olentangy Schools at the May 15 meeting last evening.

Mr. Meyer will begin as Superintendent on June 1, 2023, and Mr. Raiff will serve in an advisory role through Jul 31.

“One of my goals has been to leave Olentangy in a better place from when I first assumed the role of Superintendent eight years ago. Succession planning is vital in ensuring that Olentangy Schools remains a top performing school district for our students, our families, our staff, and the health of Delaware County, the seven townships and four cities we serve,” stated Mr. Raiff. “Mr. Meyer’s commitment to this district and the high standards he has for the teams he leads give me the utmost confidence that he will serve Olentangy well as Superintendent.”

Contract terms for Mr. Meyer include a 38-month contract with a base salary of $215,000. This is a competitive contract commensurate with the responsibilities and expectations of the Board and community.

Olentangy Teachers Association (OTA) president Elaine Eddy shared, “As the president of the OTA for sixteen years, and an educator in the Olentangy school district for 34 years, I am thrilled and proud of the work of our Olentangy Schools Board of Education in the selection of our next superintendent, Mr. Todd Meyer. I have worked with Mr. Meyer both as my principal at Orange High School and as the Chief Operations Officer of Olentangy. Mr. Meyer’s unrelenting commitment to our students and staff, and his innate ability to collaborate and partner with all district stakeholders, will allow him to continue to build upon the tradition of excellence that Olentangy represents.”

Treasurer Timothy Ryan Jenkins spoke about Mr. Meyer, and said, “Todd is calm, measured and thoughtful when making decisions, and he actively listens to those with whom he is interacting. His collaborative style is effective in creating a healthy organization that is responsive to the diverse needs of our constituents.”

Mr. Meyer and his wife of 26 years, Gina, reside in Powell. They are parents to two graduates of Olentangy Liberty High School, Alexia (2016) and Gabe (2018), with their youngest, Isabela, graduating on Sunday, May 21. His interests include Ohio State football, reading, playing pickleball, and the family’s 3-year-old Goldendoodle, Milo.
