Olentangy Schools
Olentangy’s 18th elementary school will open for the 2027-28 school year, located in Delaware County and Liberty Township, along Bean-Oller Road, west of the intersection with Sawmill Road.
The District invited the community to help name the next great Olentangy elementary school and received 387 submissions throughout the month of March. In accordance with Board policy, school and facility names must reflect local history or geography. The top names suggested were presented to the Board of Education at the April 9 board meeting.
After reviewing input from the community, staff, and students, along with relevant historical research, it was determined the new name for the 18th Olentangy elementary school will be Deer Haven Elementary School. The next step will be determining the school mascot and colors.
