Request for Bus Stop Change

  • Dear Olentangy Families,

     

    Olentangy Transportation department evaluates district bus stops each summer according to student enrollment and state and district guidelines. Although we review all bus stop requests submitted outside of those parameters, they are prioritized accordingly.

    Prior to making a request please know all busstops are set within the guidelines of district policy and/or state guidelines. 8600-Transportation Policy

    We establish bus stops and routes prior to the last week of July for the upcoming school year. The first three months of school our department is tweeking route timings, conducting bus safety training for all Pre-K through 3rd grade students, and conductin emergency evacuation drills. It is our desire to answer your request promptly and efficiently, requests received during this time could have substantial delays, should you not hear back from someone please feel free to contact our office.

    All requests for a bus stop change or addition will be reviewed by a committee consisting of the director of transportation, transportation supervisors, routing managers, route monitor and drivers. Each request will be given thorough and thoughtful considersation, which takes time. Someone may contact you if additional information is needed about your request. Once a decision has been reached, you will be contacted in writing or by phone by a member of the transportation staff.

    Please note: this link is not for an address changes must go through the NSWC. It is not for Alternative bus requests or daily bus passes. Daily bus passes and alternative requests are based on seating capacity on the bus. All requests are subject to prior approval.

    Alternative Request - forms must be requested through the Transportation office only.

    Bus Passes are requested by parent written note to school office and electronic bus pass is issued and is based on approval by the Transportation department based on seating capacity.
