Board Member Biographies

Current term expires: December 31, 2013

Mr. King was elected to the board in November of 2009. He received a degree in architecture from Ohio University and is a founding partner of Horne and King Architects. Before his time on the board, Mr. King served on the district's Development committee for 11 years, acting as the group's chairman from 2000 through 2009. During his time with the committee, that group of community experts assisted with the planning and construction of 14 school buildings, two bus compounds and renovations to Olentangy High School. Mr. King also served as a volunteer with the Olentangy Liberty High School (OLHS) music boosters.

Kevin O’Brien is the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for Nationwide Financial's Retirement Plans Business. Nationwide Retirement Plans has more than $76 billion in assets and 2.5 million plan participants. Prior to joining Nationwide Financial in 1998, Mr. O’Brien was the Senior Manager of Investor Relations at Hartford Life, Inc. for four years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management with honors at Westfield State College in 1990. Mr. O’Brien, his wife Linda and their four daughters live in Lewis Center.

Ms. Dunbar was appointed to the school board in 2010 to fill an unexpired term. She lives in Powell with her husband and two children. Ms. Dunbar is a Change Management Leader for Ashland Inc. She holds a bachelor's degree in business and communications from Point Loma University and a master's degree in education from the University of Illinois. Ms. Dunbar has volunteered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters and Adopt-a-highway programs. She also mentors a sixth-grade student in South-Western City Schools, serves as a board member for the Powell Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and works with Friends of COSI. She also has a strong history of community involvement with Olentangy Local Schools. She has served as a volunteer with Olentangy For Kids (OFK) since 2002, including serving on the strategy team. She is a founding member of the Superintendent's Communications Committee and an active volunteer at Olentangy Liberty High School (OLHS).

Ms. Wagner Feasel was appointed to the school board in 2006 to fill an unexpired term. She resides in Lewis Center with her husband John and two children. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College in mass communications and is currently the vice president of communications with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining the board, she volunteered extensively in the district including as president of the Olentangy Athletic Boosters, member of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee, member and later co-chair of the Redistricting Committee and as chair of a levy/bond campaign.

Mr. White was elected to the board in November of 2011. A graduate of Hotchkiss Boarding School in Lakeville, Connecticut, Mr. White pursued his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University, graduating cum laude. In addition, he earned his M.B.A. from Capital University, with magna cum laude honors. As an accounts receivable manager for Atrium Centers, LLC, he is responsible for 130 million in annual revenue. Mr. White previously tutored college students with ADHD and learning disabilities at Marshall University. In addition, he is a retired scuba instructor. Mr. White and his wife, Carrie, and their 2 children reside in Lewis Center.
