Students from Scioto Ridge Elementary school were invited to attend the Ohio School Boards Association meeting in downtown Columbus on November 13 to share their experiences with The Leader in Me program. The Leader in Me has been an on-going initiative at SRES since 2011. The program fosters student leadership and develops 21st century skills in all students from kindergarten through fifth grade. Three students attended the conference to share about the program’s habits, data binders, and leadership teams. The SRES group was among 100 exhibitors asked to share items of interest with the conference attendees. The teacher chaperones commented that the students “wowed” them and the attendees with their knowledge and from-the-heart explanations about how The Leader in Me has changed their lives.
