ROOTS Really Make a Difference

About 50 LTES parents, students and siblings pitched in last Saturday at the Council of Older Adult’s leaf-raking day.  The students raked and cleaned up a very large lawn for an area senior, and the adults cleaned his gutters.  The service club at LTES is called ROOTS which stands for respecting ourselves and others through service.  The group tries to complete one Saturday service project per month.  They meet twice per month and try to work on projects that will make a difference in someone’s life.  The project took three hours and the homeower commented many times how much he enjoyed the company.
