Olentangy Observes Patriot Day

Students across Olentangy marked Patriot Day by pausing to remember the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001 and to honor our first responders. Students were encouraged to wear read, white and blue at several school buildings while other Olentangy schools participated in a moment of silence.

Some schools held more elaborate ceremonies, including at Walnut Creek Elementary School where  students observed Patriot Day with a flag procession through the halls of the school. The ceremony featured members of the Webelos II Boy Scout Pack 384 and Girl Scout Troop 1778 who led the flag procession as students lined the halls to pay tribute.
