Local Historian Brings Native American History to WCES

Mr. Terry Randall, a farmer from Knox County, recently visited Mrs. McDonough’s class of fourth-grade students at Walnut Creek Elementary School.  Mr. Randall was invited as part of the class’ unit  on early settlements in Ohio including its indigenous peoples.  He shared his large collection of Native American artifacts from the early Ohio people including the Paleo and Archaic Indians. Students were thrilled to have actual hands-on experiences with items they had previously studied.  Thanks to Mr. Randall for making this unit come alive for Mrs. McDonough’s fourth-grade!
