Living History Day at Olentangy Orange Middle School (OOMS) just keeps getting bigger and better. This year OOMS eighth grade students were fortunate to hear presentations from more than 65 veterans and active duty service members. This annual observance of Veterans Day has become an eagerly anticipated event for the OOMS community. The guests were first treated to a breakfast, then an honor assembly thanked the guests for their service past and present. After the assembly, students attended three sessions to hear first-hand about war experiences from WWII and Vietnam, to modern-day experiences in Afghanistan and the Middle East. An Ohio National Guard static vehicle was on display in the afternoon. Teacher Nancy Poliseno organizes the event every year.
