Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge Everett H. Krueger met with the Olentangy Liberty Middle School (OLMS) Debate Club April 17 to discuss how best to articulate an opinion in court, in the community and, perhaps most applicable in this case, with parents.

New this year, the OLMS Debate Club is the only middle school debate club in central Ohio and includes 28 students in every grade level at the school. The club meets before school every Wednesday under the direction of district parent volunteer and OLMS Debate Club leader Beth Probst.

“This was a special event that the kids have been planning, and who better than a courtroom judge — the epitome of someone who judges a debate — to explain what it takes to make a good argument,” Probst said.
