Elementary Visitor Encourages Students to Read

krenzelCheshire Elementary School (CES) hosted former Ohio State quarterback Craig Krenzel last Friday to encourage the students to read as part of the CES Reading Robots Winter Challenge.  A drawing determined which four classrooms got a visit from the former Buckeye star!  The Reading Robots Challenge goes through March 17, 2013.  Students in grades K-5 are working hard at reading as many minutes as possible outside the school day to help their classroom to be crowned their grade level’s “Grand Champion”.  The visit was also timely because Friday, March 2 was the birthday of Dr. Suess, and The National Education Association has adopted his birthdate as National Read Across America Day.
